ABOUT
Purpose
-
CCMF (Community Concerns for the Medically Fragile) is a local parent-driven community group, striving to meet the needs of medically fragile children/young adults and their families. We offer financial and emotional support to these families. The home that we support programs at, "Standing Oaks" is a life-long home for the residents who live there. Respite care for parental relief is available to the medically fragile children/young adults of Lambton County. **(respite care is closed and has been since COVID-19 hit)
Vision
-
Lead in the awareness of the needs of the medically fragile children/young adults in Lambton County (inclusive of Standing Oaks), while recognizing their uniqueness, their right to dignity and their quality of life
Mission
-
Optimize and enhance the quality of life for medically fragile children/young adults of Sarnia-Lambton and ensure that all community agencies are fulfilling their obligation
-
Enhance our profile as strategic communicators for the medically fragile through community partnerships and public awareness
-
Recruit new volunteers who respect the CCMF vision and are able to fulfill their obligations of their commitment
-
Advocate for resources and the implementation of programs that will ensure the special needs of the medically fragile are identified and met
Goals
-
Our "Hands on Art" and the music program will continue
-
It is hoped that the Interactive Experience will grow to a larger scale and become widely recognized in the medically fragile community without barriers
